Shell Beach and Cambria
Over 20 years ago My dad, brother Dave, and I went camping for 3 days in the High Sierras. We camped at Mineral King. Mineral King is a 7.5-mile-long, 1-mile-wide glacial valley in the southern Sierra Nevada.
Each day we hiked a different trail. The weather was unpredictable. One night rain , the next day sunny. It was 80 degrees and as soon as we got on the other side of the mountain, we were hiking in snow. we found alpine lakes, 2 glacier lakes, and a sink hole . The hikes were strenuous and made sleeping at night easy. I remember listening to the Lakers winning the playoffs on the radio one night. We all had a great time.
