BTA Cruise 2012

This was the maiden voyage for the Carnival Splendor since it's engine caught fire and stranded all of the passengers November 2010. The cruise ship still stayed in Cabo San Lucas for 2 days because of unrest in Matzalan 2 years ago. Two of our group made it to the final karaoke show held in the big theater on the last night of the cruise. Everyone seemed to be having a good time eating too much as usual.

When we docked at Puerto Vallarta Jan, Debbie, Gary and I rented a cab and headed south to Mismaloya Beach. Mismaloya Beach is a beautiful where they filmed "Night of the Iguana"many years ago. We laid in the sun and hiked along the coastal cliffs. When we met our driver we found out he had been stabbed by local waiter because he didn't deliver us to his restaurant. After a stop in downtown Puerto Vallarta we headed back to the ship

This was a relaxing trip this time. We spent our 1st day in Cabo San Lucas at the resort Casa Dorada. a nice resort with private beach, swimming pools and a nice Mexican buffet.

The second day in Cabo was spent shopping and walking around the marina. We stopped in at Cabo Wabo for lunch and a tee-shirt.
