Tulum Vacation at Dreams

For our first Caribbean vacation we decided to go to Tulum which is in the southern part of the Mayan Riviera. We chose it because it was near the ruins and far from Cancun (Party Town).

We arrived in Cancun and took a van 82 miles south to our resort, The Dreams Tulum. The drive was interesting, you are next to the ocean, but never see it. The entire area is dense jungle, except for where they carved out the roads, resorts and towns.

The weather was sunny, cloudy and rainy at any given moment. If it weren't for the rain, it would be too hot and muggy. Our resort and scenery was very lush and beautiful. We could have stayed at the resort the whole trip , but we found some fun stuff to do. We went to Playa Del Carmen (cruise ship port) to shop, hiked around the Tulum Ruins, Snorkeled at Xel Ha, and sky bicycled at Hidden Valley.
